Acting as fiduciary of Gazprom Germania, the Bundesnetzagentur (Germany’s Federal Network Agency) has today appointed Dr. Egbert Laege as the company’s new managing director. As fiduciary representative with full directorial powers, he has so far supported the Gazprom Germania [subsequently renamed to SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH (SEFE)] management team to stabilise the company and its subsidiaries.
Dr. Laege is an acknowledged expert in the energy sector and former member of the executive board at the European Energy Exchange AG (EEX). Prior to that, he was on the executive board of E.ON Ruhrgas and worked at E.ON Global Commodities.
The previous managing director of Gazprom Germania, Igor Fedorov, has stepped down by amicable and mutual agreement to devote himself to new professional challenges. Upon his appointment, Dr. Laege thanked his predecessor for his services to the company and wished him all the best for the future.
