When a gas supply is registered with SEFE Energy, the gas industry data service provider (Xoserve) provides us with the supply point address that they currently hold on their database, the UK Link System. On occasion this address could be incorrect.
This address tells us where the meter and associated equipment is located and is also used for engineer site visits and meter read visits. In addition, it is where the gas distribution network would attend in the event of a gas emergency or after the removal of a meter from records as per Gas Safety Regulations.
Failure to accurately record the supply address could result in communications being sent to the wrong location, inaccurate reporting of discrepancies, and ultimately represents a breach of Gas Safety Regulations.
If you require a change to your supply address, please check that the address has been validated by Royal Mail before submitting it to us. This will ensure that Xoserve will accept the amendment and process it quicker.
Tip: An address amendment is not the same as a Change of Tenancy (COT). Please find more information on COT here.
